Question 26950: Thank you for your help! I have now come upon another type of equation on this worksheet that I don't understand. example: 25x^2-15xy+2y^2 I am not sure how to factor using trail and error on this one because of all the variables.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve just as if you only had 1 varialbe;
25x^2-15xy+2y^2
There are 3 givens;
25 is a perfect square, there is the variablr x and y so they both are in the factor, and since the last sign is + and the first is -, you now both signs are going to be -;
(5x-_y)(5x-_y)
what two facots =2? 1,2
(5x-y)(5x-2y)
