i take it, it is 9x%5E2+=+4? The minus sign is not part of the equation?

x%5E2+=+4%2F9 --> now square root both sides, to give

x+=+sqrt%284%2F9%29 or x+=+-+sqrt%284%2F9%29
x+=+2%2F3 or x+=+-2%2F3
