Question 265: What is a real life example where a quadratic equation would be used?
Answer by ichudov(507) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Any kinds of problems involving free fall of objects involve quadratic equations. That's because objects that are falling, are falling along a parabola (ignoring resistance of air). Also, anyt ime you calculate areas of rectangular plots of land, or really many other plots of land, would involve a quadratic equation. Say, a farmer could have a triangular plot and be planning where to plant his plants to make the most money.
