step 1 - move the x^(1/2) terms to the right side as
(ii) x-15+=+2x%5E%281%2F2%29
step 2 - square both sides to get
(iii) x%5E2+-+30x+%2B+225+=+4x
step 3 - subtract 4x to get
(iv) x%5E2+-+34x+%2B+225+=+0
step 4 - factor to get
(v) %28x-9%29%28x-25%29=0
step 5 - solve for x to get
x= 9
or
x = 25
If we check x = 9, we find it doesn't work, so our only answer is x = 25.
