You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2-14x+24=0
(x-2)(x-12)
does that get you going?

With the x%5E2 term this is a quadratic equation. To solve quadratic equations
  1. If one side of the equation is not zero, simplify each side.
  2. Make one side of the equation zero by adding or subtracting the appropriate terms.
  3. Factor the non-zero side or use the quadratic formula
  4. If you factored, set each variable factor to zero and solve.

Let's try this on your equation.
1. Simplify
Your equation is already simplified.
2. One side equal to zero.
Subtract 14x from each side:
x%5E2+-+14x+%2B24=+0
3. Factor or use the quadratic formula.
(I prefer factoring when it is possible.)

4. Set each factor to zero and solve.
By the Zero Product Property we know that this or any product can be zero only if one of the factors is zero:
x-12+=+0 or x+-+2+=+0
Solve:
x+=+12 or x+=+2
