You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Take the square root of each side:
(w-10)^2=81
w-10 = 9 or w-10=-9

Add +10 to each side:
w-10+10=9+10 or w-10+10 = -9+10
w=19 or w= 1

R^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve:
%28w-10%29%5E2+=+81 Take the square root of both sides.
sqrt%28%28w-10%29%5E2%29+=+sqrt%2881%29 Recalling that: sqrt%28x%5E2%29+=+x
w-10+=+9 or w-10+=+-9 Add 10 to both sides of each solution.
