the y-intercept (where the line or curve crosses the y-axis) is where x=0, so: y=0 is the y-intercept, correct.
the x-intercept(s) (where the line or curve crosses the x-axis) is where y=0, so: x%5E2-6x+=+0.
x(x-6) = 0
so either x=0 or x-6=0
therefore the curve crosses at 2 points, x=0 and x=6
