Maple Syrup 5 9.50 5(9.50)
Imitation x 4.00 4.00x
Mixture x+5 5.00 5.00(x+5)
5(9.50) + 400x = 5.00(x+5)
47.50 + 400x = 5.00x + 25
400x = 5.00x - 22.50
80x = -22.50
x= -22.50/80
Don't think this is right??

Imitation x 4.00 4.00x
Mixture x+5 5.00 5.00(x+5)
:
You were so close, but right here the equation should be
9.5(5) + 4x = 5(x+5)
then the same method as you had:
47.50 + 4x = 5x + 25
47.5 - 25 = 5x - 4x
22.5 = x
