y=2x+4......eq 2

one reason substitution would work well here is because in eq 2, y is already isolated.
:
graphing could work but many times graphing is inaccurate in determining the exact solution.
:
substitution is MUCH more reliable, although in graphing you get a visual picture of the system and can actually see the lines intersect.
