SOLUTION: I am having some trouble with quadratic formulas, could you please help me with this problem? x^2-1/2x+1/2=0 This is what I have so far: A=1 B=-1/2 C=1/2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)-1/2
Question 179999: I am having some trouble with quadratic formulas, could you please help me with this problem? x^2-1/2x+1/2=0 This is what I have so far: A=1 B=-1/2 C=1/2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)-1/2^2-4(1)(1/2) (all over)2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)1/4-2 (all over) 2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)-7/4 (all over 2) x=1/2+/-2(radical sign)-7 (all over) 2 and that's as far as I got. Can you help me? Thanks a ton,

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I am having some trouble with quadratic formulas, could you please help me with this problem? x^2-1/2x+1/2=0 This is what I have so far: A=1 B=-1/2 C=1/2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)-1/2^2-4(1)(1/2) (all over)2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)1/4-2 (all over) 2 x=1/2+/-(radical sign)-7/4 (all over 2) x=1/2+/-2(radical sign)-7 (all over) 2 and that's as far as I got. Can you help me? Thanks a ton,
Heather
YOU HAVE LIKELY SOLVED THIS PROBLEM ALSO, HEATHER, BUT THIS MIGHT BE A SLIGHTLY EASIER WAY(I DON'T LIKE TO DEAL IN FRACTIONS): multiply each term by 2
solve using the quadratic formula: = = = = =
THAT SHOULD BE IT BUT NOW WE'LL TRY IT YOUR WAY = = = = = = =
And it comes out the same--
GOOD WORK, HEATHER!!!!!!!-----PTAYLOR
