What makes you say that the solutions are integers?

Take the square root of both sides:

x+-+4+=+sqrt%2824%29 or x+-+4+=+-sqrt%2824%29, so:

x+=+4+%2B+sqrt%2824%29+=+4+%2B+2%2Asqrt%286%29 or x+=+4+-+2%2Asqrt%286%29

You can push the buttons on the calculator as well as I can for the approximate answers.
