i need to know how to find the intercept , find the vertex and graph it in t chart form every time i do the chart it doesnt look right
the problem is y=2(x+4)(x+2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+=+2%28x%2B4%29%28x%2B2%29 To find the x-intercepts, set y equal to zero.
2%28x%2B4%29%28x%2B2%29+=+0 so...
%28x%2B4%29%28x%2B2%29+=+0, therefore, the x-intercepts are...
x+=+-4 and x+=+-2
The x-coordinate of the vertex is found by:
x+=+-b%2F2a Expand the given equation by multiplying the factors:
y+=+2%28x%5E2%2B6x%2B8%29
y+=+2x%5E2%2B12x%2B16 so a = 2 and b = 12, then,
x+=+-b%2F2a = -12%2F2%282%29+=+-3 Substitute into the original equation to find the y-coordinate.
y+=+2%28-3%2B4%29%28-3%2B2%29
y+=+2%281%29%28-1%29
y+=+-2
The vertex is at (-3, -2)
