Question 144284: x^2 -3x = -6x -1
Can somebody explain how to do these? I have a whole paper of them to solve and don't know where to start!
Get all the terms on the left, and 0 on the right side. Add and subtract to make the right side 0.
Then use the quadratic equation to solve.
a = 1, b = 3, c = 1
This gives , and
