You can put this solution on YOUR website! Okay, let "M" (for Money, oks?) = amount the class will make on recycling newspapers.
So, M= (Rate* Tons of newspaper)- Expenses, YOUR BASIC EQUATION.
In this case the "expense" will be the rental of the truck right?
Therefore,
M=($15/ton)(tons of newspapers) - $150
This will be your working eqn for the week only. Take note, rental of $150 is for the week only, it still depends on how many # of weeks you want to do it(just multiply it then by $150 if ever).
