Add -2/3 to both sides:
%281%2F2%29x%2B2%2F3-2%2F3=1-2%2F3
%281%2F2%29x=1%2F3

Multiply by 2:
x=2%2F3

Add -2/3 to both sides:

1%2F2x=1%2F3

Multiply both sides by 3:
