 s+2/2s - s+2/4 =-1/2

Appears to be %28s%2B2%29%2F%282s%29+-+%28s%2B2%29%2F4+=-1%2F2.

Multiply left and right sides by 4s, and simplify;
That should bring to s%5E2-2s-3=0
which should not be too hard to factorize, and finish.
