You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi
The height of a triangle is 2 m more than twice the length of the base (x)
b is x
h is (2x+2)
A = (1/2)b*h
30m^2 = (1/2)x(2x+2)
60 = 2x^2 + 2x
2x^2 + 2x - 60 = 0
Solve with the Pythagorean Theorem
Tossing out negative solution for length
x+=+%28-2+%2B+sqrt%284%2B480%29%29%2F%284%29+=+%28-2+%2B+22%294+=+5
x = 5m , the length
h = (2x+2) = 12m
checking our Answer:
(5m)(12m) = 60m^2 Checks!
