Question 1044393: Hello,
I need help with the following problem:
Undersea explorers discover a second sentient race living on Earth. This species is scientifically much more advanced but cannot share its discoveries because it uses a different system of units. Human scientists first try to convert between units of length: they measure a meter as 12 bap'ai and 2 bok'ai or alternatively 10 bap'ai and 10 bok'ai. In centimeters, how much distance is 5 bap'ai and 3 bok'ai?
Thanks,
Nicole

You can put this solution on YOUR website! From the given information we know that
:
2 bap'ai = 8 bok'ai therefore
:
1 bap'ai = 4 bok'ai
:
now we can say that
:
100 cm = 50 bok'ai (from 12 bap'ai and 2 bok'ai = 1 m, 1 m = 100 cm), then
:
1 bok'ai = 2 cm
:
*************************************
5 bap'ai and 3 bok'ai = 23 bok'ai and
23 bok'ai = 2 * 23 = 46 cm
