Question 104023: Tutor,
I have one last problem and I am having difficulty getting the answer. I think I am wrong on the negatives and possitives. My graph does not look right.
Indetify the axis of symmetry and create a table of values and graph.
y= -x^2 + 6x - 2
My answer does not look right to me could you please help me with this? Thank you in advance.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Indentify the axis of symmetry and create a table of values and graph.
y= -x^2 + 6x - 2
---------
graph%28400%2C300%2C-10%2C10%2C-10%2C10%2C-x%5E2%2B6x-2%29
-----------------
Table:
If x=0, y=-2
If x=1, y=3
If x=2, y=6
If x=3, y=7
If x=4, y=6
If x=5, y=3
etc.
---------------
Axis of symmetry:
-x^2+6x = y+2
-(x^2-6x+?) = y+2+?
Complete the square on the x-terms:
-(x^2-6x+9) = y+2-9
Factor:
-(x-3)^2 = y-7
--------------------
Vertex: (3,7)
Axis: x = 3
----------------
