Question 924083: Annual consumption of bottled water in the United States is given in the table. Let C(t) be the billions of gallons consumed t years since 1990.
Year Bottled water consumption (billions of gallons
1990 2.2
1992 2.4
1994 3.0
1996 3.5
1998 4.1
2000 4.9
2002 6.0
2003 6.4
a) Create a scattergram for the data on your calculator.
b) Graph the function C(t)=.016t^2+.116t+2.184 on the same window as your scatterplot.
c) Does the model fit the data?
d) Find C(24) and interpret its meaning. (Round the value to two decimal places.)
The bottled water consumption in the year will be billion gallons.
need help with getting the first part of d for the years dont get how you get that I got the rest.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Re TY
The bottled water consumption in the year will be ___ billion gallons???
missing a C(t) value??? Like 10 etc
....
d) C(24)=.016t^2+.116t+2.184 = = 14.18
t years since 1990: 1990 + 24 = 2104
The bottled water consumption in the year 2104 will be 14.18 billion gallons.
(this is true naturally)
