.
solving
x^2 - 6x = (1/2)x + 42
.
mulitplying thru with 2
2x^2 - 12x = x + 84
.
set to zero to solve
2x^2 - 13x -84 = 0
.
using quadratic formaula to solve
.
.
.
x = 42/4 = 10.5
