You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x Number of adult tickets sold
Let y Number of child tickets sold

Number of tickets equation
x + y = 120

3.50 x + 2.00 y = 324.00
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 2
Multiply (2) by -1
2.00 x 2.00 y = 240.00
-3.50 x -2.00 y = -324.00
Add the two equations
-1.50 x = -84.00
/ -1.50
x = 56
plug value of x in (1)
1.00 x + 1.00 y = 120
56.00 + 1.00 y = 120
1.00 y = 64.00
y = 64
Ans x = 56
y = 64
56 Number of adult tickets sold
64 Number of child tickets sold

56*3.5+64*2= 324
