Question 971897: I messed up and made my 1st question non-understandable. My sincerest apologies. please Let me try again. I am having an issue with this problem. I am subtracting rational expressions with the same denominators. Here is the problem:
(x-6)(x+3)/X^2-2x-15 minus 9(x-5)/x^2-2x-15
I have figured out that the denominator should be (x-5)(x+3) but I am having trouble with the numerator. could you help me?

The denominators are the same. The denominator should be whichever form you need it in as long as it is equivalent.

and continue from that.

To finish, you might want to factorize numerator and denominator to reduce if possible; depending on what you need.
