my answer would be to square the 16 (256) add that answer to one(256+1=257)
then is f(x)=8x=257 then put zero in for x to find the y-int. and then o in for y or f(x) and then solver for x-int.

If this is a quadratic function, the 1st degree variable is missing. I believe that it should read: f%28x%29+=+16x%5E2+%2B+8x+%2B+1
