The Greatest Common Factor is the greatest number that is a factor in of all the numbers of the equation.
Remove that from each section, When the remainder is multiplied through with GCF you will get the original equation.
Find the GCF. Then divide the equation by the GCF.
The GCF is 6x.
If the second part of the equation did not have a "x" the GCF would just be the "6" and the first part would remain x^2.
