You can put this solution on YOUR website!
They are the same, but your equation is in GENERAL FORM, and you want to convert it into standard form, which is the same as "vertex" form.

y=3%28x%5E2-2x%29%2B1

Do you know why 1 will complete the square?
y=3%28x%5E2-2x%2B1%29%2B1-1%2A3
Do you understand why 1%2A3 term is subtracted?
