copy the problem properly, like so
%283x-2%29%2F4=%285x%2B1%29%2F7 multiply each side by 28 to get rid of fractions
7%283x-2%29=4%285x%2B1%29
21x-14=20x+4 subtract 20x from each side of the equal sign
x-14=4 add 14 to each side
x=18
