Question 76947: I dont quite understand how to find Ratios for similar polygons, using the ratio of corresponding side lengths.
My problem is:
Ratio of corresponding side lengths= 5:8
I need to find the ratio of perimeters and areas.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello there,
You would just set up a ratio with the each length of the side of one polygon compared to another length of the side of the other polygon. You can denote the unknown as x, y, z, etc...
Could you please give us the entire problem and if you could, the diagrams? I know it's hard to understand what I just said above.
