Question 705307: I am not sure if this question is in the right area, but it is a question that I have in biology lab. It's calculating the number of grams needed of media necessary and the question is: The label of the medium calls for 30g/liter. You only have 7.5g of powdered medium available. How much re-hydrated media will that make?

How is that ratio used? "Rehydrated media"? If you are just trying to use the ratio and without other details, then only the simple proportion seems possible:
30g%2F%281%2ALiter%29=7.5g%2F%28V%2ALiter%29, Find V.
