Multiply the the entire equation by 12 (LCM of 3, 4 and 6)
12%28x%2F6%29%2B12%28y%2F4%29+=+12%282%2F3%29
2x + 3y = 8
...
It can be seen that x=1 and y=2, such that 2*1+3*2 = 2+6=8
...
Check
1%2F6+%2B+2%2F4+=++2%2F12+%2B+6%2F12+=+8%2F12+=+2%2F3
