Question 622912: I'm confused about percents, and obtaining specific numbers using the decimals of percents of over 100%.
For example I want to obtain a product of 75,000 using 103% value.
So what I do is this:
(75,000 / 0.97) * 1.03 = 74932.5
I NEVER get exactly 75,000 value using the 103%. I want it exactly 75,000!
Thanks in advance. Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! obtain a product of 75,000 using 103% value.
:
Let x = amt required to accomplish this
:
1.03x = 75000
x =
x = $72,815.53
