Question 446126: Nearly 5 out of 7 people choose vanilla as their favorite ice cream flavor. If 182 people attend an ice cream social, how many would you expect to choose vanilla.
I wrote it out in porportion form
x/182=5/7
x=182 (5/7)
1. 182/7=26
2. 26 X 5= 130
x=130
I got it wrong on my test. Could please help and show me what I did wrong

130 is correct; 130/182 = 5/7. Maybe ask your teacher to correct that problem?
