Solve the proportion:
4%2F14+=+x%2F21 Multiply both sides of the equation by 21.
21%284%2F14%29+=+21%28x%2F21%29 On the left side you can cancel 7's and on the right side cancel the 21's.
3%284%2F2%29+=+x Simplify.
12%2F2+=+x
x+=+6
