thr ratio of peanut cost to carmal corn is 2:1.
Therefore the price of a pound of mix is $.80 worth of peanuts & $1.60 worth of carmal corn. ($.80 + $1.60 = $ 2.40).
This requires that .8 pounds of carmal corn and .2 pounds of peanuts be the mix.
50 X .8 = 40 pounds of carmal corn. 40 pounds of carmal corn X $2.00 = $80.00
50 X .2 = 10 pounds of peanuts. 10 pounds of peanuts X $4.00 = $40.00
$80.00 worth of carmal corn + $40.00 worth of peanuts = $120.00 (50 X $ 2.40)
Therefore there is 40 pounds of carmal corn in the 50 pound mix.
