Question 285009: Phillip works for a computer store that pays a 12% commission and no salary. What will Phillip's weekly sales have to be for him to earn $360?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 360 (amount Phillip wants to earn) is (which in math means = ) 12% (which can also be written as .12) of what he sells. In result, your equation is 360=.12x. This is a one step equation and you would divide .12 from both sides to undo the multiplication and get 3000=x so Phillip would have to sell 3000 worth of computers to get $360 a week. I hope this helped and i answered your questions; if not please post the question again and I'll try to explain it further.
