This can be done by making both the denominators equal(by taking the LCM ) and trhen adding the numerators

Divided by

%283%2F4%29%2A+8
= 6
Let total number of pentagons and hexagons = X
Then 3%2F%283%2B5%29of X = 12
3%2F8+%2A+X+ = 12
Cross Multiplying
X = 32
If 12 pentagons are there then there are 32-12 = 20 hexagons
