You can put this solution on YOUR website! Her grade is : how many out of a hundred?
So, let x be her grade
x / 100 = 29 / 30
multiply both sides by 100
without algebra, just divide 29 by 30 using long division.
you'll get .907. to get the grade, move the decimal point
over to the right 2 places. Now you get 96.7 This is the
grade, but you want to round it off to the nearest
whole number. 97 is the answer. Hope this helps.
Answer by Kuroinu(8) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! All grades that are a number out of a number are fractions, so her grade is 29 over 30. To turn a fraction into a percentage, you would divide the top number by the bottom number, and then multiply the decimal you get by 100 to turn it into a percent. So in this case, you would divide 29 by 30 to get about .97 (rounded). Multiply that by 100 and you get about 97%. The exact answer is 96 and 2/3%, but grades are normally rounded up, so you could probably get by with 97%. I hope this helps.
