1. if 3 cans of asparagus cost $7.00, How much do 12 cans cost?
It's 4 times as many cans, so it costs 4 times as much, unless there's a quantity discount.
4*7 = $28

2. if it takes a basket maker 20 days to make 30 baskets, how many baskets can be made in 60 days?
30 baskets/20 days = 1.5 baskets/day
1.5 baskets/day * 60 days = 90 baskets

1) Divide 7 by 3 to find cost of one, the multiply that answer by 12
7.00/3=2.33 ea x 12=$28.00
2) 20 days to make 30 baskets
divide 60 by 20=3
3 X 30=90 baskets in 60 days
I have a class of GED students going right now.
They should be ready for the test about Christmas.
