You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 1/2 dozen muffins would be 24 + 6 or 30 muffins with 600 g of flour.
Let x = number of muffins made with 900 g of flour.

Set up a ratio with muffins divided by flour:
%2830+muffins%29%2F%28600+g%29+=+%28x+muffins%29%2F%28900+g%29+

Remember that a%2Fb=c%2Fd means that a%2Ac=b%2Ad

In the same way, cross-multiply
%2830+muffins%29%2F%28600+g%29+=+%28x+muffins%29%2F%28900+g%29+ to obtain:
30%2A900+=+600%2Ax
27000=600x

Divide by 600:
x=+27000%2F600+=+270%2F6+=+45 muffins.

HOWEVER, the EASY way to do this, in this particular case, is to notice that you are comparing 600 g of flour with 900 g of flour. This is half again as much as 600 g., so you can make half again as many muffins. Half of 30 is 15, so add 30+15= 45 muffins. Much easier, right???
