Question 158417: what is the answer for x/5=10/13

You can put this solution on YOUR website! what you do is multiply the first numerator, x, by the 2nd denomenator, 13, and you get 13x, then you multiply the 1st denomenator, 5, by the 2nd numerator, 10,
and you get 50, afterwords divide 50 by 13x (when you do this your basically putting the x on one side of the equation and the answer on the other side) and you get x=3.846153846 etc. etc. round this up and you get x=4 thats your answer.
{during this problem i used a method called the cross multiplication method if your having any more trouble ask a teacher to explain how it is done}
