If the whole bag of x apples cost b cents, then each apple should cost b%2Fx cents. For example, if 5 apples cost 50 cents, then each apple would cost 50%2F5=10 cents.

The total cost of y apples would be y times the cost of each apple, or b%2Fx, so if C is the cost of y apples, then the general formula is:
