24 inches/1 inch = 18 ft/x ft
But change the feet to inches. 18 ft = (12"/ft)(18 ft) = 216"
24%2F1+=+216%2Fx Solve for x. Multiply both sides by x.
24x+=+216 Divide both sides by 24.
x+=+9
The model wing will be 9 inches long.
