You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3 out of 4 votes in favor of the bond, so that means 1 out of 4 voted against the bond.

3/4 = 0.75 = 75%
1/4 = 0.25 = 25%
x = number of people total

1/4 of x = number who voted against bond
(1/4)*x = 2250
0.25*x = 2250
x = 2250/0.25
x = 9000

There are 9000 total voters here.
Use this to find the number of people who voted in favor
3/4 of 9000 = 0.75*9000 = 6750

Answer: 6750 people voted in favor of the bond

A recent school bond issue passed with 3 out of 4 votes in favor of the bond. A total of 2250 people voted against the bond. How many people voted in favor of the bond?
Fraction that voted in favor: matrix%281%2C3%2C+3%2F4%2C+or%2C+.75%29
Fraction that voted "not in favor": matrix%281%2C3%2C+1%2F4%2C+or%2C+.25%29
With P being the number that voted in favor, we get the following PROPORTION: matrix%281%2C3%2C+.25%2F.75%2C+%22=%22%2C+%222%2C250%22%2FP%29
.25P = .75(2,250) ------- Cross-multiplying
Number of people who voted in favor of, or
