The language isn't clear; but I believe you are asking for the amount of increase in the fare....

The ratio 5:7 means we can represent the old fare by 5x and the new fare by 7x; the amount of increase in the fare is 7x-5x = 2x.

The new fare, 7x, is rs. 1421:

The amount of increase in the fare is 2x = 2 * rs. 203 = rs. 406.

At first, it was 5x but now, it is 7x.
