You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x boys and 4x girls

Two more girls, IF...
%283x%29%2F%284x%2B2%29=1%2F2

6x=4x%2B2
2x=2
x=1

The class currently has 3 boys and 4 girls.

(NOTE: Misread problem description; should have solved for "12 more girls" instead of "2 more girls".)

.
%283x%29%2F%284x%2B12%29 = 1%2F2

3x*2 = 4x + 12

6x = 4x + 12

2x = 12

x = 6.

Answer.  3*6 = 18 boys and 4*x = 24 girls are in class.

Any other answer is WRONG/INCORRECT.
