Question 1057518: Jeff bought a 15 foot piece of rope for a project. He cut two sections. ONe was 3.6 feet and the other was 2.8 feet in length. Write the amount remaining as a fraction in simplest form.
So what I did was subtract 3.8 and 2.8 from 15 and got 8.6
( 15-3.8-2.8=8.6) but I don't know how to turn it into a fraction? Answer by josgarithmetic(39617) (Show Source):
