Question 925547: I know that this is a time/distance problem, but I'm not certain that I set it up correctly in order to get the distance. Could you please help me.
Problem: Your flight took you 3 hours and 20 minutes to travel to your destination. The plane you are in flies at 450 miles per hour. What is the distance to your destination?
I did this: I first converted time to minutes. I'm not sure if this was necessary or not
time/distance=200min/450miles=60min/d

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Your flight took you 3 hours and 20 minutes to travel to your destination. The plane you are in flies at 450 miles per hour. What is the distance to your destination?
---------------
The units have to match.
The speed is in mi/hr
Use the time in hours
-----
d = r*t
