You can put this solution on YOUR website! solve this question using algebra. If you dont know how to right away, imagine simpler numbers. What percent of 200 is 100? The answer's 50%, but the multiplication to prove it is... .5(200) = 100. So when they ask "What percent of 90 is 50," set up the algebraic equstion like that.
x(90) = 50... Then just solve through
90x = 50
x = 50/90
x = .555
Keep in mind you have to move the decimal point two spots to the right. Think back to the original equation. even though .5 was used, the answer was 50%. So 50 is 55.5% of 90.
