In this case, you really don't need to 'set up' a proportion. If the scale is 1 inch = 2 feet, meaning that every 1 inch of Mr. Lincoln's real height would be represented by 2 feet, or 24 inches in the statue, then all you really need to do is multiply 6 ft 4 inches by 24. Conveniently, 6 ft 4 in is 6 and 1/3 feet, or 19%2F3 ft. %2819%2F3%29%2A24=19%2A8=152 Larger than life? I should say so. Lay it down on a football field with the feet at one of the goal lines, and the head would just cross the mid-field stripe.
