You can put this solution on YOUR website! First sum up your number of reported cases to get the total number of reported cases. You should get 120.3.
Type your data as is, but convert each number of reported cases to a percentage by dividing by 120.3 to each. Verify that your resulting percentages add up to 1.
It's best to type in this data to your TI-84 using the LIST ability. Put your years in L1, put the percentage cremations in L2.
Go to STAT > CALC > LinReg(ax+b)
It tells you what a and b are equal to.
